I am sure that all the main EDRMS software products will have the ability to
interface with scanning software.  The TRIM Context Software (which we sell
in Canada), for example, integrates with the scanning software from Outback
Imaging and also from Kofax.  In either case one can scan and OCR, capturing
the metadata as well as the scanned image in tif or pdf format.  The OCR'd
text will be loaded into a field, becoming searchable.
