I have been the Records Manager at UT Pan Am for 4 years now and we have made great strides with our paper records and are diligently working on our electronic records. Our Compliance Officer would like to know what you are doing about contractual documents. Thanks for your help.

Paula,
At the University of Arizona all contracts pass through our cenralized
contracting office. They work with the University Attorneys to ensure
that all contracts meet state and federal laws & regulations.
Individuals & departments are not authorized to enter into contracts as
they do not have the legal standing to sign for the Board Regents. The
original, signed contracts are held by the contracting office and then
sent to records management until ultimate disposal. Dick King,
University of Arizona
