Good afternoon,

Does anyone have a good, working definition of the term "orphan file?" I'm
developing a guideline on how to handle files that are left over after
someone leaves a department, and no one else knows what to do with them.

Should the term be "orphan files" or "orphaned files?" Also, any tips on
how you are handling these kinds of files would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
Earl
