Depending on the system and the type of "content" involved, many of the ERM
and CRM packages have connectors to true content management / workflow and
imaging packages. I suspect that retention of records is not a particular
strength of such systems, as those provided by PeopleSoft, SCT, Siebel, and
others, and that those packages are not focused on anything that would come
close to a DOD 5015 compliant solution for electronic records management.
I'd look for supplemental solutions to the problem.

I am forwarding these to the RM list in the hopes that others may be
able to help. We also have SCT Banner here at the University and this
is one of our questions also.

I'd be interested in the same question for SCT Banner.

Dear Members of List-serve,
I am the Assistant Records Manager at Catholic University and we are
looking into creating a records management system for electronic records.
Some of our major departments use the software PeopleSoft. I was wondering
if any of you have had experience with archiving the contents of PeopleSoft?
Any information on archiving business management software would be helpful.

Sincerely,
Leslie Knoblauch
