Speaking just for my position in a state agency / higher education and
not being aware of the cost of living differences between Georgia and
Texas, I would regard that salary as being on the low end. Here, Records
Management is part of IT and I report to the VP of Information
Technology, which helps during the budget  process.  We are also
responsible for the imaging system and the content management software
(Documentum), so we get a fair amount of IT support as well.
