In addition to the myriad of other responses, here are the "standard"
numbers I have used for years when estimating space needs,
microfilm/imaging counts, etc.  I find them fairly accurate for estimate
purposes when looking at project completions.
        Average number of sheets per cubic foot
                Letter size             2450
                Legal size              2100
                Computer (11X14)        2100

wet, but he is kinda damp--but we knew that anyway.

And now I'm eagerly awaiting all the other flippant replies to this
question which is the modern equivalent of how many angels can dance on
the head of a pen.
