If you are inquiring about a classification scheme, we have been
struggling with this need for several years now. Engineers each have
their own STRONG opinions about how the documents should be arranged and
why. 8-) You might find the material available from the Construction
Specifications Institute (www.csinet.org) helpful. We just ordered a
publication from them entitled "UnfiFormat, A Uniform Classifcation of
Construction Systems and Assemblies" that we are now using to draft
(once again) a project file classification system for Waterworks.

I would be interested in input from anyone who deals with project files,
both working and final files, mostly in the area of Engineering Design
and Construction such as facilities, assets, etc. for downstream oil
