Hi Barbara, Please excuse my ignorance. You are absolutely correct in
your assessment. I am looking for any publications or web links that
will assist me in the development and implementation of an retention
schedule for administrative records. Thanks again.

Please excuse my ignorance.........but when you mentioned "internal
administrative departments" I envisioned  Accounting,  Payroll,  Human
Resources etc.     That being the case, why would there be different
requirements for an Accounting department in a Law Firm in comparison to
an Accounting department is just about any other industry?    Would they
not be bound by the same laws and regulations?  Accounting records are
accounting records regardless of the industry.
