Email systems are not recordkeeping systems but what must the degree of
separation be? My IT folks want to find the solution within the
Microsoft Exchange environment while I favor the removal of the email
from Exchange to a separate searchable system with better control,
retention, etc. The functionality I am seeking supposedly exists within
the Microsoft Exchange environment according to the IT folks. Are RMs
finding SOX compliance within the MS environment or is there some
specific reason to find answers in softwares outside the email system?
Anyone have thoughts on this?
