Hi all, and with apologies for cross-posting,

Just a quick reminder that I am teaching two workshops in Denver August
23-24 and August 25-26.

August 23-24: CDIA+ training. This course will prepare students for the
CompTIA CDIA+ exam. This certification covers project management, document
technologies, business analysis, and the document imaging process from the
business, technology, and compliance perspectives.

August 25-26: "Records Management for IT Professionals". This introductory
workshop is designed to provide non-records managers with the basic
knowledge and skills required to start a records program. Students will
learn how to:
- Identify the elements of a records management program
- Create a records policy
- Conduct a records inventory, including electronic records
- Create and implement a file plan and classify records, including manual
and automated approaches
- Research and create a media-blind records retention schedule
- Manage active records, including access, indexing and retrieval
- Manage inactive records, including conversion, retention, archival,
transfer, and disposition
- Create and implement a risk mitigation plan
- Audit the program
This workshop was created in collaboration with Mimi Dionne, Auditing
Manager for Administaff.

Both workshops will be held at the Residence Inn Denver South-Park Meadows,
8322 S. Valley Highway, Englewood, CO 80112. The workshops will run from
8:30-4:30 both days and include continental breakfast, catered lunch,
breaks, training manual, and resource CD.

Payment may be made via check or credit card; volume and professional
discounts available (for ARMA, AIIM, TAWPI, SAA, PMI members). For
additional information on either workshop or to register, please contact me
directly at (303) 574-1455 or by email at [log in to unmask]
