Hi All
The DIRKS (Design and Implementation of Recordkeeping Systems)
methodology, developed by the NSW Records Office and adopted by National
Archives Australia, provides an 8-step process designed to assist
organisations to improve their management of records and information. It
is based on and expands the best-practice approach outlined in ISO 15489.
Refer: http://www.naa.gov.au/recordkeeping/dirks/dirksman/part1.html#bg1
Could anyone from the LISTSERV please advise of an equivalent
methodology(s) that has been developed in the US (preferably applicable to
corporates not only government). I have already obtained the draft
Sedona Guidelines and Principals from the ARMA site which provides useful
information.
