My company is working on a disaster plan now. Our meetings as a team
will run through the end of the year. There is a software to purchase
that can lead you. I will find that out and get back with you. We will
do a mock disaster once everything is in place. We have a draft
disaster recovery policy/procedure in the works. It takes several
members from each department as a team to work on this.

Subject: Businesses not surviving disaster
Good morning all,
I am a frequent lurker and have garnered a heap of useful information
from this listserv. I thank all who share their knowledge and expertise.
I do have a question...my management would like some examples of
businesses that didn't survive a disaster. I have looked through the
archives, visited FEMA website, and did search Google to some extent.
Most of what I have found is businesses that survived because they had
some sort of disaster plan. I do remember something about how many
companies didn't survive 9-11 but can't find it. Does anyone have any
information or can steer me in the direction I might be able to find
some of these things. I would be most grateful. THANKS!
