FileNet Records Manager is built on and fully integrated with our P8 ECM
architecture and as such it is highly scalable and open. It uses an SQL
compliant database and as such we are able to import other compatible
file formats, such as Excel, ASCII and flat files. It is our believe
that Retention manager 3 can provide one or more of these formats. If
so then our Professional Services group can import the data into our
Records Manager software and populate the retention/disposition
schedules.

FileNet Records Manager is, we believe, compatible with most records
management standards. While we have not done a total comparison of the
many standards world-wide, we know that we can meet most, if not all of
the requirements of the key standards. For example, FileNet Records
Manager provides the tools to enable any organization to comply with ISO
15489. In fact, we believe that our use and integration with an
organization's business processes makes our product unique in the
market. We link records with the processes that create and use them,
making them an active part of the business rather than just storing the
records in a repository. For more information you are welcome to
contact me off line, and/or visit
http://www.filenet.com/English/Products/Records_Manager/. There is a
lot of information available there and you can get a web-base demo every
two weeks by clicking on a date on the left of that page. You will be
asked to register and you will then receive log-in information for the
live demo.
Let me know if you have more questions.
Bill

compatible with Filenet? Hey before I forget would you also advise me of
the degree(pecentagewise)of Filenet's compliance to basic records
management compliance requirements.

I just spoke with the company (Robert Libby 1800-513-1000 ext 525) -
Zasio doesn't integrate w/Hummingbird, however, he suggested that I
contact Hummingbird and ask what options they may have. If there are no
options to integrate I may go with Zasio for building the schedule.
Thanks for the tip!

In relation to this... I've been using Retention 3 but am looking at
Zasio's version... Any thoughts on Zasio?

Thanks!

Can anyone provide information on software comparable to "Retention
Manager 3" which is compatible with Hummingbird?
