Another product that recently completed the DOD5015.2 certification, both on
its own and with a Sharepoint integration, is the TRIM Context product from
Tower Software.

If your attending the ARMA conference in Chicago it might be a good time to
talk with the vendors and if Microsoft had been there (guess we're to small
of a conference) a demonstration. But I believe they have vendor partners
that have provided the RM functionality to Sharepoint. The names at the
moment eludes me.

Spend time with the RM vendors at the conference. The quality of vendor
information last year was excellent.

I think this is a question that a lot of companies are addressing. If you
haven't seen it already, the Gartner Group has put out a short paper
regarding SharePoint as a potential ECM solution. While this probably isn't
enough to base a decision on (i.e. no substitute for developing your
requirements, researching vendors, demos, grading vendors on the
requirements, etc.), it does give some basic information and a place to
start from. Also, per Bruce's post take a look at the archives.
