Paige, I would suggest developing a cost analysis of your current
operations. Based upon this you can establish a current cost per cubic foot factor. You
can then charge on the basis of meeting the cost (this is what many in-house
organizations do) or an additional amount for profit purposes should you
wish an income factor. Check the ARMA bookstore for records centers. I wrote an
article on outsourcing which contains a workable analysis sheet. It appears
in the IMJ.
