AH , Bill, the master at work again...educating..You are the
greatest...By the way, someone ripped of the first great book on Records
Management, written Bill Bendeon...BILL....Help me recover a copy of my
Historical Library of our profession...trouble is I know who the
"culprit was", but he has since passed away...and his family is unable
to locate my copy...Your Autograph was in...Chuck Schiell, CRM,City

Paige, I would suggest developing a cost analysis of your current
operations. Based upon this you can establish a current cost per cubic
foot  factor. You
can then charge on the basis of meeting the cost (this is what many
in-house
organizations do) or an additional amount for profit purposes should
you
wish an income factor. Check the ARMA bookstore for records centers. I
wrote  an
article on outsourcing which contains a workable analysis sheet. It
appears
in the IMJ.
