BearingPoint is one of the world's largest business consulting and systems Integration firms dedicated to aligning business and systems to empower Global 2000 companies and government organizations. Our McLean, VA office is looking for a Records and Document Manager to join our Team.

The Manager of Records and Document Management oversees all ongoing activities related to the development, implementation, maintenance of, and adherence BearingPoint's policies and procedures covering the management of business records, data protection, and security of the data within those records. Further responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Establishing procedures for managing physical records storage and retrieval
· Perform annual review of records against existing retention schedules
· Work with the business units to identify and implement common software platform for the management of physical records
· Provide expertise to business units on effective application of document management systems, with respect to imaging systems or other electronic records platforms
· Act as the application owner of the records management system
· Assists business units in support and audit efforts when they arise.
· Oversee official versions of contracts, engagement work papers, final deliverables, T&E records, etc
· Responsible for managing the Records Librarian Organization
· Working with the respective leadership, the Manager will assist in the development of electronic records management best practices, and will play a critical role in their implementation within assigned business units.
· Identify, hire and manage 2 staff positions when appropriate

The requirements of this position are:
· Bachelors degree in Business Administration or related field,
· Minimum of 5 years Industry records and information management experience; 5+ years experience in a management level position in records management
· Knowledge of electronic data management systems such as records management systems, document management systems, imaging systems, etc.
· Ability to communicate effectively, both through written word and verbal skills
· Technology-savvy and vendor neutral
· Possess a Library Science background
· Experience working in a consulting, services industry is preferred
· Knowledge and experience in governance requirements for establishing and maintaining a Records Management Program (ARMA Best Practices)
· Ability to interface with multiple levels of senior managers in the organization
