My husband and I discussed how we would give and we decided to wait a little to see if we could give an in-kind donation, like helping out with the records and archives of our ARMA members. Our decision was based in part on the fact that we can give more if we give services rather than cash. The other reason was that if no obvious need for an in-kind donation arises, we can still give cash later. Many charities will need lots of money for a very long time to come, so giving a little now and a little later will still be a great help.
Best wishes,
Carol
