Amid all the discussion, we could plan a Red Cross donation box at the
conference. I'm certain the Board is considering ARMA's role and will issue
a
general statement of support through its membership and its available source
materials. Difficult time to read all the suggestions as to what should be
done
and what can be done. The unfortunate disaster has occurred and as
individuals
we need to respond to our fellow Americans in the most efficient and rapid
means as possible. Each of us has an avenue of aid available to us and
should
endeavor to fulfill it. ARMA is not a disaster recovery organization and,
as
has been discussed, many of the suggested services are not practical unless
applied through designated associations. Each of us can also assist
individual
contacts through the association and community activities.
