Robin-

Here at UWF we consider any student records in departments...not those that
are kept permanent by the Registrar's office as the official academic
record...but those in academic departments as Student Education
Records:Supporting Documents. However, we consider them a "record copy" for
the departments and abide by the 5 year after withdrawal, graduation, etc.
retention.

Subject: Florida Public School RM question--outcome

I received three responses, one from someone in our state government who I
ended up calling on the phone. After discussion, we agreed the records
would fit best under "Student Education Records: Category B," which has a
retention of three anniversary years.

Good morning!

The Exceptional Student Education Department in my school district has just
notified me that they intend to make digital recordings of IEP meetings with
parents. They are asking for guidance on the retention of the recordings.
I am hoping that another FL school district is doing something similar and
is putting their recordings in a record series other than "Exceptional
Student Education Records." I am hoping to avoid the long retention
requirements for that record series, if possible.

This question is of limited interest to the list as a whole, please reply to
me. I will provide a summary of responses (if I get any!)
