I'm the admin and records management contact for the Standards and
Calibration Laboratory at Los Alamos National Laboratory. In addition to
the normal administrative records that I have handled for previous Lab
groups, I am now learning about Quality Records for compliance to ISO/IEC
17025.

The S&CL has all the major stuff under control but does not consider the
Equipment Intake form (the customer filled form that tells us who they are,
what type of equipment to be calibrated, and who to charge) or the
Scheduling Card (signed and dated by the customer at pick up) to be Quality
records.

My feeling is that these two types of documents are records but I am unable
to find any information that might help me to schedule them and apply a
retention period. Anyone work with these types of documents? Any assistance
is appreciated.
