Hi everyone:

One of the constant questions on this list and at ARMA meetings is "What
edms are you using?" or "Who here uses Open Text" or similar
interrogatories.

At this point we have to use word of mouth or ask the vendors for lists
of folks who are using their tools.

To make this process more efficient and avoid the potentially skewed
lists offered by the vendor we should have a neutral resource on the
web.

It is clear that we need a registry.

At this time I don't have the resources to create a unique website
devoted to this issue. Luckily, we can use the recmgmt ot yahoo group.

To that end I have added a simple data base to the Recmgmt OT yahoo
group.

http://finance.groups.yahoo.com/group/recmgmt_ot/database?method=reportR
ows&tbl=1

Of course, you have to endure the yahoo registration, sign in, etc.

If any enterprising student or eager professional would like to build a
registry and place it on the non-yahoo web I am sure it would be
appreciated by the community as a whole. Until then this is the best I
can muster...

Anyone out there operating Interwoven's Records Manager along with their
Document Management product (MailSite/FileSite/WorkSite) that might be
willing to share your experiences? If your in the Washington DC area it
would be even better - that way you might be able to show me the systems
in
operation.

Thanks in advance. And thanks to Larry and others for the enjoyable
time
at the Listserv Party. The 'boorgers, lagers, and fellowship were a
wonderful starting point for the Conference. Looking forward to San
Antonio!
