< ISO 18927:2002 Imaging materials - Recordable compact disc systems -
Method for estimating the life expectancy based on the effects of
temperature and relative humidity.>
ISO 18927 describes testing that can be done to determine possible life
expectancy of CDs using temperature and relative humidity test
parameters. It, unfortunately, does not give any preferred results nor
does it relate any particular results to life expectancy of the CDs.
Unlike the ISO standards on microfilm or magnetic tape life expectancy,
it does not describe the possible results of certain storage or handling
conditions and relate them to potential longevity - it simply describes
the test and testing conditions.
