Jesse is correct. We need to know what is out there even if you are not
looking. The environment has been changing and it appears with the
emphasis on regulatory compliance, records managers are more in demand
today than I have seen.

You never know when you are suddenly presented with a new boss,
downsized, or replaced. Awareness of what is out there, salaries
offered, and the job requirements are always important to you. I am one
who enjoys reading the postings.

Keep 'em coming. You might just find your next job from one of those
posts.

Subject: [SPAM] Re: RECORDS MANAGER CAREER OPPORTUNITY - East Coast

I haven't gone to the archives to review the thread, but the last time
this
came up I thought the general consensus was that job postings are OK
because
they are of interest to the list?

My own take on it is that even if you're not looking, you should have a
rough idea of the landscape - you never know when the layoff (or the
acquisition, or the "rightsizing", or your own personal frustration with
your position!) is coming.

I know there is an ARMA jobs blog in the Northwest, and the postings on
the
AIIM and ARMA websites, but I didn't think this was that big a deal?

Anyone else's thoughts?
