There are--or were--rotary cameras with front and back filming and reductions in the area of 32x vs the 57x you note. Does the camera manufacturer offer a different lens/reduction?

My question has to do with microfilming pages that have information on
both sides of the page.  We are currently looking at 2 options:

1. Copy the double-sided pages onto single-sided pages and microfilm at a
24x reduction ratio.  This requires doing an additional quality check on
the copies.
2. Use a camera that films both sides of the page and uses a 57x reduction
ratio.  The reduction ratio scares me a little with this option.

Can anybody provide information on how you're organization handles this
situation?
