Candidates for the CRM are required to test on the latest RIM
technology.

I think Peter was referring to retesting on technology in order to meet
a maintenance requirement to retain their certification, license, or
credential.

In the Information Security world (which is strongly related to RIM)
individuals sitting for the CISA and CISSP designations are tested on
their knowledge of the latest technology.
