Agree completely Jesse.

Regarding name calling, I will not say just what Bruce White CRM, PMP,
faces in the mirror every morning when he shaves. Some might call it
the hindquarters of a razorback hog, but I will not.

Best regards, Steve

Two points in brief I find of note in this discussion and the related
thread
on the CRM:

1. I think this is perhaps the most important issue facing ARMA at
this
point. A professional association exists to provide education (first)
and
networking opportunities. ARMA certainly does both of these. The
direction
ARMA intends to take with regards to education, including some
combination
of defined or existing competencies, certifications, education, and
training, will be one of the key factors in its future success, if not
its
very existence.

2. I think this is an excellent demonstration of how passionate,
articulate,
pretty smart people can disagree and make their case to the overall
membership of the listserv (which includes many folks on the ARMA
board, the
ICRM board, and other professional associations' boards as well) about
where
we as a profession, and ARMA as an association, need to focus our
energies.
By now many similar listservs would have already degraded into
namecalling,
questioning of ancestry, and other flame wars. As I consider the
excellent
points made by Sue, Steve, Bruce, and the other contributors to the
thread,
I am struck by how professional and how relevant the thread continues
to be.
So thanks for that.

Now, on to the next re-re-re-rebuttal. :)

Respectfully,

Jesse Wilkins
