Excuse the cross post.
 
We currently have over 200 different Document Types in our DMS system.
Our instructions and subsequent Profile Naming Structures also leave a
lot to be desired.  I am working on consolidating the Doc Type list to a
more meaningful approach and number as well as improve naming
structures. Does anyone have any guidelines, procedures, document type
lists, etc.  you have developed that you are willing to share.
