Folks,
Hope to see lots of you at the 2nd NHPRC Electronic Records Research
Fellowship Symposium!

**************************
Electronic Records Take Center Stage at the Second Annual NHPRC Electronic
Records Research Fellowship Symposium

Friday, November 18
9:00 AM -5:15 PM
Pleasants Family Room
Wilson Library, UNC-CH

Interested in learning how archivists and records managers on the front
lines are facing the challenges of managing and preserving electronic
records?
Looking for creative solutions or potential project ideas to further
institutional objectives as they relate to electronic records?

Please join us for what promises to be an interesting and informative
seminar as our 2004-2005 Fellows present their research results and the
2005-2006 Fellows discuss their research plans for the coming year. Topics
include e-mail preservation, digital conversion and preservation, data
warehousing, content management systems, records management in Fortune 100
companies, and HIPAA-aware EAD finding aids.

Robert Spindler, an Arizona State University archivist and founder of the
ECURE Conference, will deliver the keynote address. Over the years, ECURE
has focused on developing the management of electronic records at
institutions of higher learning, what Spindler recognizes to be a great
challenge as students demand access to Web-based resources.

This free event is open to members of the University and the public, and
will be held on Nov. 18, in the Pleasants Family Room of the Louis Round
Wilson Library on UNC's campus.
