I don't have inside knowledge but based upon the number of stories I
see in the press I agree that many of our institutions of higher
learning are virtual sieves when it comes to protecting PII
(personally identifiable information). i generally stopped including
them in RAIN postings because they were so numerous.. even my alma
mater (Vanderbilt) apparently suffered a recent breach of its computer
system.
