My favorite quote is, "University President Dan Mote refused to get a
university ID card when he arrived in the late 1990s because the cards had
SSNs printed on them. Having a SSN on a university ID card “is about the
worst thing I can think of,” he said. Mote obtained an ID card when the
university switched to printing UIDs on cards."
