I am a notary, but that is more a function of working in a City Clerk's Office than of being a records manager. We have many notaries in the city, and I have taken on the role of organizing a training event every couple of years for notaries, bringing in someone from the Secretary of State's office.

Lakewood's records management objectives: 1) Information is available when needed; 2) Records of permanent value are preserved; 3) Non-permanent records are destroyed per approved retention schedules; 4) Discarded paper is recycled.
