I work for an engineering firm in Saint Paul, MN and we are trying to
access documents scanned into a Laserfiche database. Here's the catch:
We are running the database to an SQL database and trying to retrieve
the images using MapGuide. Does anyone have experience with Laserfiche?

Yes, experience with LF, but not MapGuide. Is this a GIS platform?
Ginny's right, LF images are TIF. LF tends to open images in their native
software. If the documents were stored in MapGuide, LF would want to open
them in MapGuide. You would have to have MapGuide loaded at your desk and
each desk that wants to access them.

In our organization, our GIS guys use ARC view but this is not loaded at
each desktop. As a result, if we want to access these through LF, we
store them as PDF's so all staff can use them. From what I understand,
the new Adobe reader also supports layers, good for GIS type mapping.

Call me if you need more info.
