Bonnie,

It sounds like Access might prove to be nice database migration tool. I
used Access in records operations for about ten years. Keep in mind that
there are limitations to its uses. If you are a large operation you
might want to invest in moving the information directly to SQL. Access
becomes a resource hog when you it get to be to large.

If you are very close to deciding on a management tool (RFI/RFP) you
might consider asking the vendors their opinion.
