For the Washington, DC area history and/or transit buffs among you, a 1957 GM bus is parked in front of Washington Metropolitan Transit Agency Headquarters at 4th and  G Streets, NW today.  (This is near the GAO building where I work.)   You can actually board the bus and look around.  The bus is parked there to mark the 50th anniversary of Rosa Parks's arrest.  Her image is incuded on a window in the bus.

As a historian but also someone who first start riding what then were DC Transit buses in 1954,  I remember this type of bus and enjoyed chatting with the driver, who is a long time bus driver in the city.   If you're in the area, stop by and take a look, very interesting!
