Do. = an abbreviation of "ditto"

Doing a quick search, one example can be located at
http://www.alta.org/govt/issues/05/70fr57179.pdf  then "find" a
reference to "ditto" on the page:

*......do....=Ditto.

The term was very common in retention listings in the Code of Federal
Regulations usually appearing as "Do."
