Just A quick note: Livelink and iRims are not necessarily synonymous.
We have the "Livelink Record Management Module" as part of our Livelink
"Enterprise Content Management" installation (sorry for the quotes, but
these are OpenText terms used in their sales and support services).  I
believe the Livelink Records Management Module is different (in varying
aspects) from iRims. It is my understanding that iRims is a more mature
stand alone RIM tool, while the "Livelink Records Management Module" is
a lesser records management tool, but integrates better with the
"Livelink Enterprise Content Management System," and thus it plays
better with electronic records already in Livelink.     

I already have a number of opinions based on 1 year of cranking up the
"Enterprise Content Management System," "Livelink Records Management
Module" and "Physical Object Manager" and would be glad to share.
