Hi,

I worked at the Ontario Realty Corporation and they transitioned from iRIMS
to Livelink.

iRIMS is a client server application

Livelink is web-based.

A few years ago, Livelink did not currently have all the funcationality of
iRIMS, but their plan was to develop it. Brenda Main is the Records Manager
at the ORC and I am sure she would provide you with more current feedback.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Thanks for sharing Nigel!

Just A quick note: Livelink and iRims are not necessarily synonymous.
We have the "Livelink Record Management Module" as part of our Livelink
"Enterprise Content Management" installation (sorry for the quotes, but
these are OpenText terms used in their sales and support services). I
believe the Livelink Records Management Module is different (in varying
aspects) from iRims. It is my understanding that iRims is a more mature
stand alone RIM tool, while the "Livelink Records Management Module" is
a lesser records management tool, but integrates better with the
"Livelink Enterprise Content Management System," and thus it plays
better with electronic records already in Livelink.

I already have a number of opinions based on 1 year of cranking up the
"Enterprise Content Management System," "Livelink Records Management
Module" and "Physical Object Manager" and would be glad to share.
