Hi all.

I am working with a company that is exploring electronic records systems for
the management of electronic records and email. I am also working with them
on the development of a retention schedule and records program. Since we
expect to have many of the documents currently stored on their systems
declared as non-records or duplicates, we do not feel that there will any
increase in overall storage space requirements. However, the IT department
would like to give them an estimate of the anticipated amount of storage
that will be needed for this new system.

If you have implemented an electronic records system, can you provide me
with the amount of storage space you have used or have allocated for the
repository(ies)? We do not expect to have every electronic record go into
the repository so I understand the storage requirements will be dependent on
the actual volume of records in the repository. But if anyone can provide
their experience or if you know of a place to get "general" standards, I
would appreciate it.

Respond offline if needed. I will provide the list with a summary response.

Thanks to all and have a great Friday. We are finally out of the cold!
