Speaker: Vernestine Laughinghouse, Absolute Organizing Solutions

Program Description: Vernestine Laughinghouse, president and chief operating
officer of Absolute Organizing Solutions, will present a program that
promises to help records managers "get their own houses in order."
Vernestine's company is a customized organizing and document management
service company serving corporations, small businesses, non-profit
organizations and individuals in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. She
brings order and calm to disorganized lives by working one-on-one with
clients in the comfort of their office or home. In addition, she provides
workshops and training seminars on paper and data management, filing
systems, and process improvement. Vernestine received a bachelor's degree in
Computer Science from North Carolina A&T State University and a master's
degree in Information Systems from Strayer University. She is a member of
the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO), serving as
treasurer of the local chapter. She is also a member of International
Training in Communication and the Washington, DC Chamber of Commerce. 

 

Cost: Online payment with credit card, available until reservation closing
time, $35 @ www.armamar.org/gmd; payment at the door, cash or check only:
$30 members, $35 non-members, $15 students (Student ID required). 

 

Menu: Join us for a night at the Pub! The menu will consist of Traditional
Pub Fare.  Please choose an entree: 1) Fish n Chips: cod fillet, beer
battered in English Ale, served with large English chips; 2) Bangers n'
Mash, two large English sausages served with mashed potatoes and a vegetable
medley or house salad; 3) Shepherd's Pie, with house salad and vegetable
medley; 4) The Big Ben, 10 oz. sirloin topped with onions, served with
choice of potato (mashed, baked or English Chips) and house salad; or 5) The
Stonehenge, fettuccine with creamy alfredo sauce and fresh ground pepper
served with garlic bread and house salad. Please choose a dessert: 1) The
Crown Jewels, double fudge brownie with vanilla ice cream and various
toppings; 2) The Sherlock Holmes, cheesecake topped with strawberries or
cherries; 3) The Ali G, slice of cookies and cream cake; or 4) The
Wimbledon, fresh strawberries and cream.
