Keep the talking points central. IMHO stay away from the specifics
unless asked. You will find that the executives know all they want to
know about SOX. What they need is to be directed to the goal of how what
you are doing addresses the issues. They hired you and are looking for
assurance that what you are doing will mitigate the risk to them and the
organization.
Fifteen minutes is not long. They will interrupt and ask questions. Hit
them with your needs and an idea of where you are going. Provide a
paragraph to summarize your presentation and a one page expanded view.
You might provide a few relevant links. You might also consider
providing a disk with articles/white papers that push your points. Go to
Rick Barry's site, Mondaq, ARMA etc.
Remember the rule, the higher up you go the simpler it has to be. Use
the FOG index for your written submission and if possible feel out a
senior secretary to get an idea of their current concerns. Be ready to
expand on any element you bring up in your presentations. Try to keep
your verbal responses to five sentences. If you are unable to answer in
five sentences, write the question down and offer to provide more detail
later.
