Position for a Records Manager in Washington DC Law Firm. Responsible
for the records program and personnel. Oversees all activities involved
in active records management: including file retrieval and delivery,
offsite storage records management, file creation, intake of new files,
file transfers, case room management, and scanning. Responsible for
training  personnel to use records systems and abide by Firm policy and
procedures. 

Develops and implements policies and procedures for the active records
center. Plans, schedules, and assigns work. Ensures security and
preservation of records in records centers. Plans disaster prevention
and recovery efforts as it relates to paper files stored in Records
centers or offsite storage. Maintains and ensures accuracy of the
records systems (File Surf)

Excellent oral and written communication skills; strong organization and
planning skills required. Bachelor degree with at least 5 years
experience in a records management position required. Ability to
perceive and analyze problems, develop alternatives and recommend sound
decisions. Technical expertise with File Surf or similar records
management application required. Certification in Records Management
