Registration is now open for the Birmingham Chapter of ARMA
International records and information management seminar regarding
Disaster Recovery, Case Studies from Katrina (day one) and Managing
Electronic Records (day two) to be held March 9-10, 2006. Cost is $175
early registration for both days or $100 early registration for one day.
The Alabama Association of Business Continuity Planners is co-hosting
day one of the seminar.
Day one of this seminar will feature guest speakers who dealt with the
business recovery efforts of organizations affected by hurricane Katrina
damage. Topics to be covered include preparation, landfall, damage
assessments, recovery and restoration efforts, customer service issues
and business impact.
Day two will feature Dr. William Saffady, author of Managing Electronic
Records, speaking on this topic. Dr. Saffady's latest book, Records and
Information Management: Fundamentals of Professional Practice was
published by ARMA International in 2004.
