Greetings All,

I have searched the archives and could not come up with an answer to what I was looking for, so I am seeking the advise of those I would consider to be the best in the business.

My department is in the process of applying metrics to many of the practices that exist in our Records Management. I was wondering do any such metrics already exist. Is there something that says the average time it should take someone to prepare a box for imaging? Are there metrics in place that says how long is should take someone to complete a retention schedule? Is there a website that I can go to for Records Management Benchmarks?

Also, is there a law or regulation that states how long after a document has met its retention, you have to destroy that document?

All responses are welcome.

Thank you,
D'Anderia Dunham
