Business Continuity Planning: How to Keep your Business in Operation

Wednesday, February 15, 2006
4:30 pm - 7:00 pm

Marriott Courtyard
8651 Spectrum Center Blvd.
San Diego, CA 92123

Operating disruptions can occur with or without warning and the results
could be disastrous, as we have seen recently. These current events have
reminded many business of just how vulnerable they are to different
foreseeable or unforeseeable situations. Come to this meeting and learn
from the experts how to prepare your organization to continue operations
in all circumstances.

Business continuity planning is the process whereby organizations ensure
the maintenance or recovery of operations, including services to
customers, when confronted with adverse events such as natural
disasters, technological failures, human error, or terrorism. The
objectives of a business continuity plan (BCP) are to minimize financial
loss to the organization and mitigate the negative effects disruptions
can have on an institution's overall good reputation and business
standing.

The event is sponsored by Hewlett Packard, Iron Mountain, StoreAge, and
SunGard.

Speakers will include:

Henry Arocha, a certified business continuity planner (CBCP) and asenior
manager at Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC). He heads a team of
business continuity managers for the company's North America Western
Region clients.
Terry Henderson, one of the original founders and past President of the
San Diego chapter for the Association of Contingency Planners.
Much information and expert experience will be shared. Join us and you
colleagues for a pleasant afternoon of shared information. Complimentary
hors d'oeuvres and soft drinks will be provided.

Please visit website at http://www.aiim.org/sandiego for more details
and to REGISTER for the event.
