might wish to follow up on Jenifer Burlis-Freilich's January 25th
posting on joining the Local Government Archives List. From that
message:

There are two options for subscribing.  You can send an e-mail to:
[log in to unmask]  You will receive
an e-mail in reply, asking you to confirm your subscription request by
going to the web address indicated, or by sending a confirmation email
with your subscription confirmation number (provided in the e-mail you
received).
Alternatively, you can go to the List website:
http://lists.maine.edu/archives/localgovt_archives.html, and subscribe
there.  You will receive an e-mail asking you to confirm your
subscription in the same manner.  The Terms of Participation for the
LGAL are available on the CoSA website at:
http://www.statearchivsits.org/lga/listserv/listservterms.htm.
