The registration deadline for the NIST TREC 2006 evaluation

is February 22, 2006.  This includes the TREC Legal track, which will 
involve retrieval experiments on approximately 7 million OCR'd 
documents from the tobacco Master Settlement Agreement.  The goal of 
this evaluation is to produce data useful in developing accepted 
procedures for the use of advanced search engines in legal discovery.   
This XML data set, including metadata, will be made available to 
participants in the evaluation.
