Good morning, information can be found on the ARMA Intranet site. Here
is a link to promotional items. Also, our Govenor (Wisconsin) has given
a Proclamation and declared April as RIMM.

Thank you,
Jeanne

Dear Colleagues,

I have searched and searched to try to find the genesis of the
declaration of April or a week or day in April as a special time to
recognize Records and Information Management Awareness. Perhaps my
searching skills are not up to par, but the latest information I have
found is from 2001.

I have taken it on faith that April was such a month and our local
chapter has even gotten our mayor to declare it as such last year and
again this year to help promote our ARMA Shred Day. However, in
working
on a proposal to establish some special activities in our offices, I
am
unable to come up with a declaration or some "official" sanction that
this is a special time.

Can anyone tell me if this is still being declared somewhere and if
so,
by whom?

ARMA has some great promotional materials for sale, but I couldn't
find
anything on their site about a declaration.

I will be very happy to have lots of people calling me a dunce because
it was right underneath my nose so if that is the case, just do it
kindly as I truly have hunted diligently before posting my question.

Thanks,
Mary Hilliard, CRM
