One item that I would point to is that the trend for major software
manufacturers is toward a "service oriented architecture", so if anyone is
evaluating an ECM, a BPM, or an Electronic Records Management software
package (this last preferably meeting the D.O.D. 5015.2 standard), my
choices would tend to be among those that could demonstrate their compliance
with and focus on SOA architecture.
