Make sure he gets a raise.  Not as many organizations consider backup
tapes as evidence.  More should as shown by the number of cases where
spoliation and adverse inference are factors in the proceedings.  I
would recommend you work closely with your counsel to determine exactly
which backup tapes must be retained and which can be recycled.  I would
expect that counsel will be very cautious and dis-inclined to let any of
them go away if it is early in the case and the scope of the action is
not yet very clearly defined.

However, before I met with Counsel I would suggest you contact your tape
supplier and ask if they have ever been salesperson of the year ;^)
